After a long grey winter, spring is finally here, and the time has come to switch out your skincare products. As the temperature rises, your skin needs a lighter moisturizer and better cleansing. You might also feel the need to freshen your skin more often. Meet our favorite skincare products for meeting the spring.
Botanical kinetics Purifying Gel Cleanser, by Aveda
This plant-based gel cleanser dissolves makeup and all the impurities fast and gently. It thoroughly cleanses your face leaving your skin soft and clean. Enriched with calming chamomile, lavender and the anti-oxidant vitamin E, this product works perfectly for oily skin.
For those who are sensitive to scents, this cleanser is light, floral and contains 16 certified organic essential oils. Several fragrant components like Eugenol and Geraniol could be a problem when used around eyes or mucous membrane so avoid such area. It is also advised to use a moisturizer right away after using this cleanser.
Aveda has a simple premise: what you put on your body should be as healthy and natural as what you put into it. And we completely agree.
This mineral-rich mask has a unique jet-black color and peel-off effect that delivers powerful detoxifying, purifying, and brightening effects. It contains Calcium Montmorillonite Clay which absorbs excess oil, dirt, and toxins from the skin, exfoliates dead skin cells, and leaves the skin purified, nourished, and restored. Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana) kills blemish-causing bacteria while helping to restore skin suppleness, tighten pores, prevent whiteheads and blackheads, and provide a firming effect. This product is free of parabens, sulfates and Phthalates. Made with premiere-quality clay, its deep-cleansing properties draw out dirt and oil.
When applying make sure you create an even and opaque layer of the mask. This product is highly recommended for those with oily skin and larger pores with tendency of breaking out. It also effectively removes blackheads and reduces inflammation.
Generally, Rose water is a toner, which purifies and hydrates skin as well as enhances the hydrating effects of moisturizer and other skincare products. A pure Rosewater spray by Chantecaille contains rare extract of the entire ‘Rose de Mai’, harvested by hand in the hills of Grasse, France during the month of May. It effectively calms and refreshes tired, sensitive and irritated skin. This toner could help those with seborrhea dermatitis to dissipate redness quickly and without any additional irritation. Apply the rose water after cleaning and before moisturizer – you will see the difference! It goes without saying, if you’re allergic this product is not for you.
Spring time is a right moment to replace your heavy, rich winter cream with a lighter moisturizer. A hydrating serum is a perfect choice for many reasons. Serums are formulated to penetrate deeply into the skin to deliver key ingredients.
This water-light serum – in the Hydra Beauty line of Chanel – delivers a revolutionary infusion of hydration: 24 hours of continuous moisturizing benefits, leaving skin deeply replenished and glowing. An active ingredient of this product is Camellia Alba PFA*(Camellia Japonica Flower Extract), which promotes optimal moisture retention within skin cells. With added Hyaluronic Acid, the serum immediately hydrates and protects the skin.
It feels very fresh and hydrating when applied and provides instant results. This serum doesn’t leave a sticky residue or film on your skin, just a refreshed, silky, smooth feel.
Ideally, apply the serum while your skin is still slightly damp from cleansing and ]. One pump is enough for an application. This product doesn’t contain a SPF so make to you apply your favorite SPF.
